10 SUPPORTING CHARACTERS WE ALL ADORE
Anyoung dear chingus!! Welcome back . Supporting characters of the dramas are the elements who enhance the flavor of the drama even more and the main leads' characters come out to be very well. So lets have a look on some of our favorite supporting characters whom we cherish more than the main leads.
1. CHA GA EUL – BOYS OVER FLOWER
I think Ga Eul was that sweet pretty friend of Geum Jan Di who had her own problems of life but never shared them with anyone but instead of that she was always been rooting for her best friend Jan Di and Jun Pyo. She was always there with her in every thick and thin . She was a sweetheart.
2. HWANG GEUM-HEE – PLAYFUL KISS
Hwang Geum-hee was Baek Seung Jo’s mother in Playful Kiss. And I think she is the coolest a mom can ever be. She was there for Oh Ha Ni everytime she needed a support and boosted her moral to approach her son. She was a good mother who knew Ha Ni’s a good girl and can keep her son happy throughout the life. Unlike the Kdrama’a bitchy mothers who keep the girls away from their sons, Hwang Geum-hee was the mother who wanted Ha Ni always by Seung Jo’s side. She was more like Ha Ni’s Mother than Seung Jo’s.
3. BAE MAN DUK – CITY HUNTER
This man Bae Man Duk was like an all in one package for Lee Yoon Sung in City Hunter. He was like a father, a friend , a brother and most importantly a homely chef (keke) for him. He helped Yoon Sung in all his secret missions even at the cost of his own life and rooted for Yoon Sung and Nana’s relationship.
4. PARK SOO KWANG– IT’S OKAY THAT’S LOVE
Park Soo kwang in drama Its Okay That’s Love was a scene stealer everytime he appeared on the screen. He was the roommate of Hae Soo and Dong Min with Tourette syndrome . Being always unlucky with girls, he was always there with Hae soo and Jang Jae Yeol. He even showed his patience in convincing Jae Yeol to get treated. Where he showed a childlike behaviour infront of his homies, he became more manly and matured infront of his love interest So-nyeo as she was a minor.
5. JOON HEE- HEARTSTRINGS
I think Joon Hee was the cutest cast member of Heartstrings. His life always revolves around food and all he could think of is food. He is the drummer of the famous college band “The Stupid” but is often misunderstood as a beggar due to the way he dresses up. He was a caring person who had a pure heart with which he loved his “Natasha”.
6. KIM JI WOONG AND JANG JOON SUNG - OH MY VENUS
This duo from the drama Oh My Venus, are the best good looking supporting duo ever. They were always there entertaining us with their humor and blind faith on their coach-nim. If I were to describe them with one word , I would say “warm”.
7. KIM KI BUM- DESCENDANTS OF THE SUN
This character is popularly known as the Baby Soldier from DOTS and is loved by all the audiences. He was a scene stealer when he appeared in the first episode as a thief. His bonding with Sergeant Seo Dae Young was a delight to watch. We became extremely happy when he made his appearance as a soldier infront of the medical team.
8. YOO DEOK HWA – GOBLIN
Deok Hwa was the only heir of the Yoo chebols who had the responsibility of taking care of the Goblin . The rebellious youngster was a kind hearted person who really thinks the goblin as his uncle and solves all his problems. He teaches the Goblin and the Grim Reaper how to use smart phones and credit card. Yes . Credit Cards. That’s his only obsession.
9. CHOI CHEOM SANG AND KIM IN RANG – LETS FIGHT GHOST
This duo is the cutest and the funniest ever. They have their own ghost hunting club called the “Ghost Net” which has only two members who are they are themselves and they are the president and vice president respectively. But the irony is that they are too much SCARED of ghosts. Their hilarious expressions and funny actions and remarks make the drama super entertaining. In Rang’s crush for the spirit Hyun Ji and later giving up on her for Bong Pal is another funny instance .
10. HWANG BOK-HEE – FIGHT MY WAY
Landlady Hwang was a mysterious lady in the Namil Villa found doing all sorts of odd jobs which she later discloses the fact that she is the land lady. She was ridiculous. She seemed to be cool about the F4 hanging out and even drinking together but she always used to nag them saying no room sharing before marriage. In the later part of the drama it became more confusing regarding her identity if she is related to Choi Aera or Ko Dong Man. She is an epic character.

11. TAE OH – LEGEND OF THE BLUE SEA
Although Tae Oh didn’t say much throughout the drama but his cuteness always killed the audience. Whenever he appeared on screen our attention got shifted from Heo Joon Jae to Tae Oh. His cute way of stalking Shim Cheong was so adorable that no one would really mind being stalked like that. He was the cool hacker of the con trio with his bae headphones and always spent his time playing games. A total tech-freak.
