Anyoung dear chingus!! Welcome back. So today I’ll be talking about the talk of the town couples of 2016 and 17. So we all know how much the chemistry between the lead couples is important to keep the audience hooked into the drama till the end. Sometimes, the chem is soooo good that the fans start shipping the couple to be real. So here is the list of the couples who have stolen our hearts with their outstanding acting, chem and romance.
1. SONG JOONG KI- SONG HYE KYO (DOTS)
The romance between a special force officer and a doctor swayed so many hearts in Korea and abroad that the fans are desperate for them to date in real life as well. It was a love at first sight kind of thing for the two. Yoo Si Jin was always there for Dr.Kang whenever she needed his help. The tough captain Yoo had his priorities straight that he wants to protect the elderly,beautiful women and the kids. Their push and pull relationship survived through all the situation from a disaster to an epidemic which made it difficult for us to get over the hangover of the drama.Their official name is the song-song couple.

2. NAM JOO HYUK - LEE SUNG KYUNG (WEIGHTLIFTING FAIRY KIM BOK JOO)
The swag couple is I think the cutest one in this list. If we technically see then Bok Joo was the first love of Joon Hyung. Their relationship was more like a real life one which most of can relate to. Like they first became best friends then realized their love for each other. The foundation of their relationship was friendship which I personally think is very important in any relationship. And the best part of it is the swag couple is real.
3. SUNG HOON- SONG JI EUN (MY SECRET ROMANCE)
Their relationship started with a unpleasant meeting in the bus then lead to an one night stand. After three years when they met again their heart melting romance just wooed us. Their relationship shows that love can start even with an awkward situation too.
4. PARK BO GUM- KIM YOO JUNG (LOVE IN THE MOONLIGHT)
The BoYoo couple’s justice for their characters ,romance and expressions were so good that their collaboration became a massive hit. First their friendship was upto the mark. When Lee Young found that Ra On is a lady the way he protects her from the world is very admirable. Inspite of their big age gap their chem shined bright. They got so much of love from the audience that recently they have been awarded the “Best Couple” in the KBS Drama Awards.
5. KIM RAE WON- PARK SHIN HYE (DOCTORS)
It was basically the relationship of a responsible teacher Hong Ji Hong and a tomboyish female student Yoo Hye Jung in the beginning . Then after being doctors when they meet again it was adorable to see that the love of Ji Hong for Hye Jung hasn’t changed a bit even after being separated for such a long time. Their adorable chem with cozy moments was enjoyable to watch.
6. LEE JUNG SOOK - HAN HYO JOO (W- TWO WORLDS)
Admit it or not ,W is a crazy yet unique story which has no match and so is the chemistry between Oh Yoon Joo and Kang Chul. A totally crazy love story which made our knees weak. Their love story was like straight out of a comic book which was ideal and sweet not to forget all the actions sequence. How can we forget the no 4 romance(wink). They fell in love twice in different scenarios which was too much for us to handle .
7. PARK BO GUM- HYERI (REPLY 1988)
The TaekSun couple was a perfect blend of cuteness and craziness. No matter how high headed Duk Sun was but for Taek she was always a friend who treats him preciously. She didn’t treat him like a God like others but just as a friend who always wishes the good for him. Their trip to China and the beach was the complete evidence how much she cared for Taek. Even Taek was the perfect man for her who was always there when she was in trouble. Remember where he lifts the fractured leg DukSeon and runs away!!
8. LEE JOON GI - IU (SCARLET HEART: RYEO)
There was probably not a more tragic and sadder love story than the one between SoSoo couple in SBS’s international sensation, “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo.” This pair had so much pain and heartbreak within their relationship that it left fans and viewers hoping for their happiness until the very end of the drama. Even though the drama had a sad ending but the SoSoo couple eternal forever by portraying their characters so beautifully.
9. JO JUNG SUK - GONG HYO JIN (JEALOUSY INCARNATE)
When you hear the name Pyo Na Ri and Lee Hwa Shin you find a wide grin ear to ear on your face. Na Ri is a weather forecaster who had a three year crush on a news anchor Hwa Shin but he didn’t acknowledge her feelings. After three years when Pyo Nari finally gives up on her feelings and loves Hwa Shin’s best friend then he starts feeling jealous of their relationship. It is a crazy drama where you can see what happens when a hard headed strict person falls in love and becomes softhearted.
10. LEE MIN HO - JUN JI HYUN (LEGEND OF THE BLUE SEA)
Legend of the blue sea is a story straight out of a fairy tale describing the story of a human and a mermaid whose fates are tangled from a long time ago and are destined to be together forever. Inspite of their huge age gap the steaming romance didn’t disappoint us. The incredible bonding between a human and a mermaid and gradually falling in love (twice) is quite a scene.
