8 K-DRAMAS WITH DISAPOINTING ENDINGS

Anyoung dear chingus!! Welcome back . So we all know how much k-dramas are important in our life. But there are some dramas out there, which are fabulous but when it comes to their endings, they disappointed us. Don’t you have your list of dramas with bad endings as well?? I’m sure you do. Well for now, lets have a look on my list. So here it goes..

1. CITY HUNTER

As we all know, City hunter is counted as Lee Min Ho’s one of the finest dramas. Its well known for its action and romantic sequences . But its ending is not upto the mark. Like it was shown as if Lee Yoon Seong is dead along with his dad , while in this sorrow, his Mom and uncle are leaving for the States and Kim Nana is living alone by herself. Then it is shown that she sees him alive after a long time and is not even shocked or confused and they smile looking at each other. And at last he drives his car alone. Also till the end of the drama he couldn’t present Kim Nana with the ring . All these things went out of my head.

2. MY LOVE FROM ANOTHER STAR

This drama is one of my favorites. It’s amazing plot, OST and chemistry between the cast members make the drama so special that you can never get bored watching this over and again. But I find its ending a bit off. And I think it’s a li'l abnormal to say so but I would have been more happy if Do Min Joon would be converted into a complete human and have stayed on the earth permanently. His surprise visits were a bit disappointing . Do you also think like this? Let me know in the comments.

3. REPLY 1988

Again it’s an awesome drama with a nostalgic feel which touched the heart of people of all the age groups. Now the disappointment of the ending of this drama is two wayed. First, there were people who were shipping Duk Seon with Choi Taek and there were some more people who wanted Duk Seon to end up with Kim Jung Hwan. Now that the former happened, audience were not happy. Meanwhile the TaekSun shippers’ happiness didn’t last longer either because they wanted to see more of the young TaekSun scenes than the adult ones. Secondly, if it could show TaekSun's wedding rather than Bora and Sun Woo’s it would have been much better as the whole ending was focused on those two. Even the screen time of the TaekSun couple was really short. So the ending of the drama could have been better than this and could make the audience happy like it did in Reply 1997.

4. 49 DAYS

49 days is all about the after-life journey of 49 days of a girl who is given the task of collecting 3 drops of pure tears in order to come back alive. But after so many episodes of her struggle and finally accomplishing the task and coming back to life, its shown again that she is gonna die in the next 6 days. It really has an incomplete ending as none of the two couples reunited and the final scene concludes with Shin Ji HYun and Song Yi Soo planted next to each other and Song Yi Kyung & Han Kang paying their final greetings to them. What the?

5. CHEESE IN THE TRAP

In the last scenes of Cheese in the Trap, it shows that Yoo Jung sunbae realizes that he is the reason Hong Seol is facing all many problems in her life and eventually leaves her side to give her a peaceful life out of guilt. But after three years it is shown the adult self of Hong Seol where she sends mails to Yoo Jung everyday but he never reads them. But in the very end of the last episode, the mails are shown to be marked as “read” and in Yoo Jung’s voice, “Seol-ah” is heard. And that’s "THE END". Is this considered a happy ending?? Sigh……

6. ROOFTOP PRINCE

Rooftop Prince is one of the best love stories with historical timeline I have ever watched. It’s the perfect blend of romance, humor, suspence and time travel. But in the end, everything was illogical. Prince Lee Gak and his present day incarnation Yong Tae Yong, are two different person. Tae Yong asked Park Ha out just because he adored her. But they talked as if they are the same person and the prince has time travelled back again.

7. SCHOOL 2015

This drama is a perfect piece of work until the end comes. It is almost impossible for a boy like Han Yi Ahn to not have a crush on his childhood friend Go Eun Byul whom he grew up together with and end up loving the younger twin Eun Bi. We all know how much the second lead Gong Tae Kwang was worth Lee Eun Bi as he had helped her every now and then keeping her identity a secret. It would have been awesome if Lee Eun Bi would have ended up with Gong Tae Kwang and Han Yi Ahn would have acknowledged Lee Eun Byul. π π

8. SHE WAS PRETTY

Well even if the ending scenes of the lead couple could not satisfy me but still I’ll not complain about that as somehow they managed to have a happy ending. My concern is about Kim Shin-hyuk. He could have got a better ending as he had a long way to go. But like they just vanished his character and didn’t show anything about him after the leap. It was indeed a sad ending for him.

So guys that’s all for now. Which drama’s ending annoyed you the most? Do you have any other drama whose ending you disliked? Do let me know in the comments section. Don’t forget to give this post a “love” . Do share it with your k-addicted friends and subscribe if you haven’t already. And for more such fun and k-drama loaded posts, stay tuned.
