Anyoung chingus out there !!! Welcome back . So in this post I'll be writing about some real serious topic... that is.." the second lead syndrome". Now this is creating problems as it is torning our hearts with every single drama. So lets take a look if your favourite second lead is also in the list ...
NOTE: SECOND MALE LEADS ARE THOSE SPECIES WHO OFTEN PLAY THE GUARDIAN ANGELS OF THE FEMALE LEADS BUT ALWAYS END UP LOSING THEM TO THE FIRST MALE LEADS .
1.BOYS OVER FLOWER
It all started from here. Even before shipping Gu Jun Pyo and Jan Di, we were shipping Yoon Ji hoo and Jan Di. This character played by Kim Hyun Joong was very special for all of us giving us some major relationship goals. Ji hoo was a warm hearted,protective person who has always stayed by Jan Di's side whenever she was in trouble or needed help. It was a bitter feeling when Ji hoo was always there for Jan di but she ended up with Jun Pyo .
2. CHEESE IN THE TRAP
This character Baek In ho (Seo Kang-joon) is not as special as Yoon Ji Hoo but rational and practical than the main lead Yoo Jung's character who was full of himself and wanted everything in his way at any cost. Whereas In ho was understanding and patient. Although he always pretended not to care, but he was always the guardian angel of Hong Seol and his badass money calculating sister
Baek In ha.
3.HYDE , JEKYLL AND ME
In this drama , both the first and second male lead was played by Hyun Bin only. But Robin was the another character personality of Gu Seo jin who had multiple personality disorder. Robin was a warm, cheerful , understanding and fun loving person who loved his freedom than anything else. Even if we knew that Robin doesn't exist and Seo jin is Robin only ,but we must admit that it felt really bad when Robin had gone forever.
4. REPLY 1988
Although I was shipping the TaekSun couple but somewhere I had doubts if Jung hwan was the husband of Deok Sun as the Reply franchise is all about playing the guessing game of who's the husband of the heroine . Jung Hwan pretended to be a cold and inconsiderate person but he never stepped behind to give hints of his feelings to her. He was kind and an almost perfect person who was good to everyone. It felt really sad when he gave up on Deok Sun to Taek . And who can forget that sad confession.....
5. YOU'RE BEAUTIFUl
Jung Yong Hwa became really popular after this role as Kang Shin Woo who was caring, protecting and a good friend to Go Mi Nam. Not only he kept quiet after knowing Mi Nam's secret disguise as boy but also gave up on her to keep her identity safe . He didn't also hesitate to be in a scandal to protect her. But for those who couldn't get over the YongShin couple, Heartstrings came for their rescue where Yong Hwa is playing the first lead with Park Shin Hye which is probably the only drama where the second lead gets the woman as the first lead.
6. SHE WAS PRETTY
Siwon Choi's Kim Shin Hyuk was probably one of the reasons for me to watch SHE WAS PRETTY .He was the most awwdorable second lead so far. His prankster,straight forward and fun loving personality grabbed all the attentions of the viewers and made them wish Kim Hye Jin to choose him instead of Ji Sung Joon. He surely deserved a better ending and of course we can't forget the way he shouts "Jackson".
7. WHO ARE YOU - SCHOOL 2015
Gong Tae Kwang was another adorable character which gave us a serious second lead syndrome. He was a lonely child who was often misjudged due to his family backgrounds but always pretended to be a happy-go-lucky person putting a fake smile. But he was always there for Eun Bi in her thicks and thins. His lovely personality made the viewers think of him as a better match for the female lead Eun Bi.
