5 Horror Dramas You Can Watch This Summer
Hey guys! Welcome back. So its already summer here and we really need something fun to binge on to escape this heat. Isn't it??? So in this hot nights, whats better than a horror drama!!! It can also give you a break from those evil chaebol mom -in-laws, amnesia episodes of main leads, water splashing compilations and the list goes on. So here are 5 horror dramas which will give you chills. Well, not really....
1.THE MASTER'S SUN
This is my first ever watched horror Korean drama and I didn't regret watching it. It has great star cast like So Ji Sub, Gong Hyo Jin ,Seo In Guk and Kim Yu Ri , wonderful OSTs and a catchy plot written by the Hong Sisters. As I have told a short gist about this drama in my last post, this girl Tae Gong Shil who was once a very popular girl in her school meets an accident and goes to coma. After three years, when she wakes from coma she suddenly gains the power to see ghosts and spirits after which her life totally changes. So in this drama, there are a lot of encounters with the ghosts: some funny, some scary and some unique which is the main point of the show. Here not only you will ship the first lead couple but the second lead couple is cute as well.
2. OH MY GHOSTESS
Now this is an entertaining one. This story revolves around a girl Na Bong Sun (played by Park Bo Young) who is being used to possession since her childhood because of her timid and weak personality. She works in a restaurant of a famous chef Kang Sun Woo (Jo Jung Suk) as a helper. Now the story takes a U-turn when a virgin ghost named Shin Soon Ae (Kim Seul Gie) possesses her and they come to a pact of making the chef fall for Bong Soon and Soon Ae will resolve her grudge by losing her virginity to the chef. Apart from this, this drama has a lot of suspence, twists and turns. There are a lot of lovely supporting characters in this drama who have justified to their characters damn well.
3. WHO ARE YOU
This is a very matured horror- detective story where a lady detective Yang Shi-ohn wakes from her six year slumber of coma and gets posted to the lost and found department. After that, she discovers that she has developed the ability to see the ghosts connected to the objects left behind there.Along with her fellow officer Cha Gun Woo, they solve the cases belonging to them together fulfilling the last wishes of the spirits.
4. LET'S FIGHT GHOST
This is a lighthearted cute horror drama where a young college going exorcist Park Bong Pal encounters a high school ghost Kim Hyun Ji who has no idea of how she died, in the process of exorcism and saves her from an evil spirit from harassing her (can ghosts also be harassed??!! >_<). After seeing that she tags along to Bong Pal and helps her earn a big money in his job and soon fall for him. This drama has a lot of suspence which keeps the audience tuned till the end. The supporting characters are equally fab as the main characters. The chemistry between Tackyeon and So Hyun is really good inspite of their huge age difference. Giving it a shot is a must.
5. BRIDE OF THE CENTURY
Unlike the above dramas, this is very different in its context. This man Choi Kang Joo is a cold conglomerate whose family is under a curse that the wife of the eldest son will always die. Inspite of this , a rich heiress plots a scheme to make her daughter Jang Yi Kyung the bride of the family, framing the doppleganger of her daughter Na Doo Rim. Where Yi Kyung is cunning and calculating, Na Doo Rim is sunny and has a bright personality which made Kang Joo fall for her. Here one can see the versatility of actress Yang Jin-sung who played the double role of two contrasting personalities. While watching, you cant even think it's the same person acting as two different roles.
